While staying at my cottage through September, I decided to head out and photograph a portion of this year's Corduroy Enduro event, which is held each year in the Gooderham area (North of Peterborough, ON), and not too far from where I was staying. These photos represent a good portion of the action at the event.

Landscape Photography:

I decided to help out a friend in need by taking photos of her landscaping projects this summer. We toured a few of the locations to get some nice images of what had been created, with the idea of adding the images to her online portfolio.

International Air Show:

I spent the afternoon on a friend's roof top in downtown Toronto shooting the air show. All the photos I took were using a 1000mm reflex lens, which is fixed at f/10, and it is nearly impossible to focus and maintain a decent framing due to the extreme magnification and lens weight. I was impressed that I was able to obtain this selection of images.

World Enduro Canada: 2007

Another year passes, and I find myself again up in Parry Sound photographing the World Enduro races. This was the second year in a row there, and hopefully one of many more to come in the future. I spent three days combing the hills around the timed events trying to find niches for good photographs, and trying to capture the essence of what a WEC race is all about. Did I succeed?

Martha's Vineyard Vacation

I was recently down in Martha’s Vineyard for a friend's wedding, so I took advantage of the beautiful local scenery for my own portfolio. I was only there for a few days, but I managed to see most of the island and snap a few memorable images of the trip.

Domestic Goddess Food Shoot

We arranged for a day-long shoot with the Domestic Goddess herself, to build a small collection of photos to help promote her cookbook proposal, as well as to increase her library of images for the website. The food was as tasty as it was pretty, as we worked through various recipes and presentations through the day, starting with french toast and winding up with cupcakes and strawberry tarts. I'll be eager to repeat this experience if only...

Cottage Scenic Photography

While on a working vacation up North this fall, I was able to spend some time exploring the scenery through the camera lens. A couple of these images are multi-exposures combined to create an HDR image, which helps to compress the contrast range in natural lighting.

After a long day at a softball tournament with my summer league, the team was invited back to a friend's apartment down on the lakeshore for some food and drinks. It was a drizzly evening, but I managed to take a few beautiful shots of the CN Tower in the mist.

Spending a weekend in Parry Sound photographing dirt bikes caught my attention. I planned for this 6 months in advance, but I still wasn't sure what I was going to see when I got there. This was the first ever WEC event in North America, and I was called upon to document the event for posterity and for next year's media build-up.
